Kona Narasimha Rao was born on July 18, 1972 in Madhira to the late freedom fighter Kona Satyanarayana Gupta and Lakshmi Kantamma. Narasimha Rao completed his primary education from Class 1 to Class 4 in 1978 in a private school and Class 5 to Class 7 in 1982-85 at Government High School (CPS) and Classes 8 to 10 in GJC (GHS main road) from 1985 to year 88. After dropping out of S.S.C., he accompanied his father Satyanarayana in running their business. Narasimha Rao was married to Lakshmi on November 21, 1996 and they have two children. Narasimha Rao’s wife Lakshmi also helps her husband in business management and social service activities.

Kona Narasimha Rao joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with an interest in politics while doing business on the one hand and social service programs on the other.
Kona Narasimha Rao rose to become the BJP Khammam district leader in a short span of time, extending his support to the people by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party.
